Description Ozone Seal R20 is a cost-effective heat-shielding coating that uses advanced insulation technology to reduce the interior temperature of buildings. Ozone Seal R20 specially formulated with fine spherical particles that minimize surface temperature on roof and walls by reflecting a large percentage of the radiant heat energy before it penetrates the building. This lowers the interior temperature and reduces energy costs for cooling the building.
Uses Ozone Seal R20 is ideal for roofs and walls in both commercial and residential buildings. It provides a heat reflective & protective waterproofing skin over polyurethane foam, protecting the PU foam from UV and weather attack. On roofs and balconies, Ozone Seal R20 provides a durable, non-skid, waterproof finish that will accept regular foot traffic. Ozone Seal R20 is suitable for application to many common substrates including concrete, fibrous cement products, metals, timber, and bituminous membranes.
Advantages – Safe to use, water-based polymeric formulation.
– Easy water cleanup.
– One component – readily applied directly from the pail.
– Excellent resistance to UV, weathering, and CO.
– Excellent build properties enable the application to both horizontal and vertical surfaces.
– Lightweight no topping required.
– Can be applied to a wide range of substrates.
– Various colors are available. Colorfast.
– Highly flexible – accommodates movement and minor cracking of substrates.
– Excellent long term durability.
– Fast application.
– Remains flexible through the use of high grade 100% elastomer acrylic polymers.
– Low maintenance costs.
– Reduced energy cost due to heat reflectivity.
– Resistant to foot traffic.
– Excellent dirt releasing ability.
– No need to remove the existing system in maintenance situation e.g. existing sheet
membrane, therefore reduces program time, noise, dirt, debris, etc.

Instruction for use Surface Preparation:
Clean the surfaces which shall receive the coating of all dust, dirt, moss, oil and grease, loose particles, cement laitance, and all other deleterious materials which will affect the adhesion of the coating with the substrate. Cracks and potholes shall be repaired with concrete repair mortar with the consultation of Ozone representative. Clean the surface of all rust scales. This can be achieved by wire brushing or grit blasting.
Application Ozone Seal R20 shall be diluted with 20% water and applied as a primer coat on the concrete surface to seal the pores and stabilize the surface. Mix the contents of the pail prior to the application to remove any sediment. Can be applied by soft-bristled brush, roller, or an airless spray. When applying by airless spray then dilute the coating with approximately 5% water to reduce the viscosity of the coating. It is important to ensure that each coat has to be cured totally before applying the next coat. The second coat should be applied at the right angle to the first at the same coverage rate, to ensure a full unbroken coating to the substrate. Allow the coating to cure fully for 72 hours to achieve its full properties.

It’s time to bring down the heat

• Today’s main resource challenge in roof technology is heat transmitted from the roof to building interiors.

• Roof surfaces convert too much direct sunlight into heat.

• Heat transfers into the inside of buildings.

• Buildings become hot and uncomfortable.

• More energy consumed by air-conditioning.

The most significant single contribution to the reduction of CO2 emissions is a reduction of is the reduction of energy used to control the internal temperature of the building.

Consumption 400gm to 1kg/m2 in two coats for heat reflection purposes.
Cleaning & Disposal Clean all the tools with water after use. Hardened materials can be removed mechanically only. Allow the waste to cure. Seal it into a suitable container and bury in landfills. Use a licensed waste disposal contractor and consult the local authorities when disposing of.
Precautions/Limitations Do not apply Ozone Seal R20 to surfaces that have not been properly cleaned or are unsound. Do not apply in rain or when rain is expected before the initial set has taken place. Do not apply to frozen or frost filled surfaces or when the temperature is below 4OC.
Health & safety As with all construction chemicals, products caution should always be exercised. Protective clothing such as gloves and goggles shall be worn. Treat any splashes to the skin or eyes immediately with fresh water. Should any of the products be accidentally swallowed, do not induce vomiting, but call for medical assistance immediately.
